This class is for students who wish to learn the basics needed to create a simple Rail Fence Quilt. Students must be familiar with their sewing machine and be comfortable sewing a straight line. Topics covered include: Identifying different quilt blocks, making fabrics choices, cutting and cutting tools, sewing and pressing techniques, assembling the quilt, adding borders, backing and binding. This class will cover setting tensions for sewing seams, 4-thread stitches, 3-thread stitches, rolled hems and other basics of using a serger. Learn how to get beautiful results with your serger.
